Kuala Lumpur – A total of 50 Sunway Auxiliary police personnel recently graduated from The Malaysian Police Training Centre or Pusat Latihan Polis (PULAPOL). In a passing out parade, the newly commissioned personnel received their certificates after completing a two-month course. The ceremony was attended by YBhg Datuk Razman M. Hashim, Deputy Chairman of Sunway Group; YDH SAC Zulkifli Mohamad, Komandan PULAPOL Kuala Lumpur; and YBhg Tn Hj Md Jailani Bin Abas, Pengurus Besar kanan (Perkhidmatan Korporat) Tenaga Nasional Berhad.
This is the third batch of Auxiliary police to be trained at PULAPOL for Sunway. The first batch of Auxiliary police had graduated in 2008 and consisted of 83 personnel, the second batch, consisting of 117 personnel had graduated in 2009. With the addition of the recent fifty, there are now a total of 650 security personnel including 250 Auxiliary Police in the Sunway Group Security force who will be conducting 24 hour patrols around the Sunway Integrated Resort City vicinity and Sunway developments to ensure the safety and security of homeowners, students, office workers, and tourists.
“We congratulate the personnel who have just graduated and we look forward to their contribution towards safeguarding our developments in Bandar Sunway, Penang, Ipoh, KL and Johor. In Bandar Sunway alone, we have more than 16,000 students in Sunway Integrated Resort City, and welcome 30 million tourists annually, and as a socially responsible corporation, it is our interest to safeguard our community as well as the other communities we had the privilege to build,” said Datuk Razman M. Hashim, Deputy Chairman of Sunway who was also present at the ceremony.
The personnel were trained in the various aspects of law enforcement to enable them to effectively carry out their duties in patrolling, static guard duties, crowd & traffic control, protection of property, detection of crimes and capturing of criminals within Bandar Sunway’s township.
With the additional numbers in the Auxiliary Police Force, Sunway is now able to increase patrolling frequency and enhance their crime preventive measures at the various properties within Bandar Sunway as well as Perak, Penang, Johor and KL to realize the Sunway Safe City Concept
