1. Eligibility and Contest Period
Contest starts 12.00pm, 27 July till 12.00pm, 20 August 2012 ("Contest Period").
The Contest will be closed 12.00pm, 20 August 2012 or such other time that Sunway City shall decide from time to time. Entries received after the contest period will be ineligible.
This contest is open to all aged 13 and above. All employees of Sunway Group of companies, employees of Sunway Education Group, employees of Monash University Sunway Campus Sunway employees and their family members, Sunway’s appointed advertising and public relations consultants and tenants are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Failure to provide true and accurate information will automatically disqualify the contestants from participating in the Contest.
2. Contest Entries
All check-ins must be submitted via foursquare mobile application only.
Contestants who do not follow the contest rules and regulations or participated in the contest via own written scripts or public tools will be disqualified and blacklisted.
The decision of the judges is final. No correspondence will be entertained.
Sunway reserves the right to amend, terminate or add on to the terms and conditions at any time by placing a notice within the same general area in which the Contest was announced.
By participating in this Contest, all contestants is deemed agreeable to be bound by the terms and conditions herein as well as terms and conditions set by foursquare.
3. Selection of Winners
Mayor – contestant must spend a minimum RM100 (accumulative in maximum 3 receipts within the contest period at Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa or Sunway Lagoon excluding AEON, Cold Storage, Parkson and bill payment at Sunway Pyramid) and the contestant must check-in at the contest location consistently to become mayor. The contestant who is able to maintain the mayor status at the end of contest will be the Grand Prize winner.
Photo submission – contestant must spend a minimum RM100 (accumulative in maximum 3 receipts within the contest period at Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa or Sunway Lagoon excluding AEON, Cold Storage, Parkson and bill payment at Sunway Pyramid) and check-in at the contest location as frequent as possible and upload as many showlight photos as possible to the page to be the top 4 photo submission winners. Contestant must upload different photos only. Duplications of same photos uploaded will be considered as one photo submission only. In the event of tie-breaker, participant with earlier photo submission will be selected.
In the event of Mayor also submitted the most photos, Mayor will be awarded the Grand Prize and the top photo submission will be reassigned to the participant with second most photo submission.
All winners will be notified via email within 7 working days. Please ensure all e-mail addresses submitted are valid. Winners must contact the Sunway admin (via phone or email) within 7 working days upon receiving the notification email. If Sunway does not receive any reply within 7 working days from the date of notification being sent out, the winner will be disqualified. Sunway shall, at its own discretion, select an alternate winner in the event of non-compliance of this terms and conditions.
Sunway City will make every reasonable effort to notify winners. Winners are responsible for their own prize collection. Prizes that remain unclaimed by the winner within certain period of time mentioned in the notification e-mail will be forfeited.
4. Contest Prizes
Each Contest winner shall be entitled to one (1) prize only for the entire duration of the Contest. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
Sunway City reserves the right to substitute prizes having an equal or greater monetary value as the prize offered in the contest notice.
Sunway City reserves the right to request written proof and age of any Contest winner before the prize is dispatched or collected.
Prizes must be claimed in person by the winners at the risk and cost of the respective winners unless Sunway City advises otherwise. Identification which includes a photograph (examples include identification card/drivers license/passport which displays a photograph of the Contest winner) and proof of purchase(receipt) will be required for verification purpose upon prize collection. The proof of purchase(receipt) must be dated from 27 July 2012 till 20 August 2012
In special situations, and subject to our absolute discretion, a Contest winner may nominate a designated representative to collect a prize. The representative will be required to present written authorization from the Contest winner and identification which includes a photograph for both the Contest winner and their representative.
5. Publicity
By participating in this contest, your information will be used to keep you informed on Sunway and its partners’ latest news, exclusive promotions and so forth. We may use such information for targeting appropriate editorial or advertising content to you but you will always be able to opt out of such mailings.
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to allow his/her name or/and photographs or/and winner’s participating photographs to be published on this website and other media like newspapers, magazines, newsletters, and other related medium without further compensation and notice.
6. Liability
Sunway will not be responsible or liable for:
(i) any problem, loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by any party due to any delay and/or failure in participating in this contest as a result of any network, communication or system error, interruption and/or failure experience by the participating internet line and/or resulting from participation or the downloading of any materials in the Contest. In the event of such error, interruption and or failure, Sunway shall not be responsible or liable for any failure by any Contestant to participate in the Contest at any time.
(ii) any problem, damage or loss of whatsoever nature to any Contestant, or their authorized representatives resulting from their participation in the Contest.
(iii) any error (including error in notification of Contest winners), omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, internet line failure, theft, destruction of, or unauthorized access to entries, PC or/and Mobile phone hang whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control.
