November 2005, Sunway City Ipoh – Lost World of Tambun Water Theme Park will officially launch an exciting new ride on 10th November 2005, in conjunction with the celebration of the theme park’s first anniversary.
Stephen Galbraith, Sunway Group’s Chief Executive Officer of Leisure Theme Parks, will personally launch the Stormrider, a 40-seater swingboat ride built under the concept of adventurous family fun. This half a million ringgit investment serves both as a reward to the public for their support during the theme park’s first year, as well as a foretaste of what Lost World of Tambun will continue to offer in future.

Fun educational activities help to make learning more stimulating as it enables primary and secondary schoolchildren to ‘escape’ from the confines of their normal classroom says Perak State Executive Council Member for Education, Human Resources and Information Technology YB Dato’ Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir.
Free from physical barriers of their surroundings, he believes children can then unleash their imagination by engaging in activities that will stimulate young minds to explore their potential.
Speaking at the launch of the “Fun Educational Package” at the Lost World of Tambun Water Theme Park in Ipoh, he expressed the hope that more Perak schoolchildren will take up careers related to the life sciences.
