In May 2007, Sunway City acquired the RM170 million Wisma Denmark development, a Grade A office tower development along Jalan Ampang in the KL Golden Triangle. The investment consisted of the acquisition of a 27-storey office tower and an adjacent 1-acre of vacant commercial land.
The entire development in two office towers (Tower 1 & Tower 2) is now named as Sunway Towers KL. The brand new office property referred to as Sunway Tower KL 1, to be developed on the 1-acre vacant land, will tap into the tight office space market in Kuala Lumpur. The existing office tower, which was named after Wisma Denmark, will be referred to as Sunway Tower KL 2.
The development is within walking distance to both the KL Monorail and Putra LRT stations, it has a view of Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, the green lung of Kuala Lumpur.
