Sunway Engineering was set up in 1995 to engage in the principal activities of providing mechanical and electrical engineering expertise, and building "smart homes," utilizing cutting-edge Information Technology.

Sunway Engineering aspires to be a leading Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Construction company in Malaysia which effectively and efficiently delivers quality construction services and products. The company is registered with Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and Jabatan Bekalan Elektrik (JBE) as a Grade '7' and Class 'A' corporation respectively.

Its core businesses include all aspects of mechanical, electrical, and associated engineering services relating to high-rise buildings, hotels, commercial complexes, residential homes and hospitals.

Sunway Engineering was accredited the ISO 9001 in 2002 in recognition of its management excellence. In 2002, it was one of the top ten winners of "Enterprise 50 Award," organized by SMIDEC (Small and Medium Industries Development Corporation). This award was in recognition of the company's excellent management and financial performance, attributed to the strong teamwork and advanced use of ICT in their operations.

The company has contributed its expertise in notable projects such KL Convention Centre, National Registration Department Building and Ministry of Entrepreneur Development Building in Putrajaya, Sunway Pyramid, Sunway College, Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel, KLIA Long Term Car Park, Sunway Medical Centre, Monorial Bandar Sunway, and Maybank Square, Bangsar.
