Sunway Construction Caribbean Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd (SunCon), and was incorporated in the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago on October 19, 2004. It is a regional operating arm of SunCon to provide complete turnkey design and construction services, namely in the fields of building construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, mechanical and electrical engineering to the Caribbean market.
The company is currently constructing the 22-storey Ministry of Legal Affairs Tower project of the Trinidad & Tobago's Government Campus Plaza worth RM 230 million for The Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad & Tobago (UDeCott). Being the landmark of the Government Campus Plaza, the project is a significant milestone for SunCon as the first construction project in Caribbean. The Government Campus Plaza is expected to house the Board of Inland Revenue, the Ministries of Legal Affairs and Education, Customs and Excise and a host of other hi-tech facilities on Richmond Street and the Port-of-Spain Waterfront.
It is with much pride that SunCon being one of the top-line foreign players to be honoured to contribute to the urban skyline of the Caribbean with its proven track record for constructing buildings that enhance the landscape of the new purpose-built administrative capital of Putrajaya for the Malaysian government. Its portfolio includes the Ministry of Finance Building, Ministry of Entrepreneur Development Building and National Registration Department Building.
