SUNWAY HOLDINGS INCORPORATED BERHAD ("SUNINC") - LETTER OF
AWARD FOR RM220.8 MILLION FROM URBAN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF TRINIDAD AND
TOBAGO LIMITED
The following announcement was released to Bursa
Malaysia Securities Berhad on 5 May 2005:
The Board of Directors of SunInc is pleased to announce
that C.H. Development And Construction Limited (a company incorporated in the
Republic of Trinidad and Tobago), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sunway
Construction Sdn Bhd, which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SunInc had
on 5 May 2005, accepted the letter of award for a contract worth Trinidad and
Tobago Dollars 368,902,830.60 (equivalent to RM220.8 million) from Urban
Development Corporation of Trinidad And Tobago Limited for the proposed
construction of the 22-storey Ministry of Legal Affairs Tower (hereinafter
referred to as "the Proposed Project").
The Proposed Project is expected to be completed within
27 months from the notice for commencement of operation and it is expected to
contribute positively to the earnings of the Group for the financial year
ending 2005.
None of the directors or substantial shareholders of
SunInc or persons connected with them has any interest, whether direct or
indirect in the Proposed Project.
