- LETTER OF AWARD FOR RM28.6 MILLION FROM ASTON STAR SDN BHD
The Board of Directors of Sunway is pleased to announce that Sunway Geotechnics (M) Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Sunway Piling Sdn Bhd), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sunway, has on 16 July 2008, accepted the letter of award for a contract worth RM28.6 million from Aston Star Sdn Bhd for the execution and completion of piling, pilecaps, basement B6 slab and earthing system works for the proposed development of 2 blocks of 40-storey condominium (462 units) and 1 block of 2-storey shop (14 units) with 6-storey basement car park and recreational facilities on Lot 1870 and 1871 (MK 28), Jalan Kiara, Mont’ Kiara, Mukim Batu Dalam Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur for Messrs Lucky Bright Star Sdn Bhd (hereinafter referred to as "the Proposed Project").
The Proposed Project is targeted to be fully completed on 6 May 2009 with a construction period of approximately 9.5 months. It is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the Group for the financial year ending 2009 onwards.
None of the directors or substantial shareholders of Sunway or persons connected with them has any interest, whether direct or indirect in the Proposed Project.
