Sunway Medical Centre Bhd. (Sunmed) has successfully undergone the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) Accreditation Survey for the 3rd continuous cycle since 2004, and awarded a full Three Year Accreditation Status from 1st April 2010 to 31st March 2013. The Three days survey was conducted by clinical and technical MSQH surveyors based on the Hospital Accreditation Standards 3rd Edition that incorporates the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998 and Regulation 2006, and the philosophy and principles of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua).

The Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) is an independent, non profit and the sole accrediting body and standards writing organization for healthcare facilities and services in Malaysia. MSQH is actively in participation with healthcare professionals to ensure safety and continuous quality improvement in health and the services provided by healthcare facilities and services in the country.

Capitalizing on the attributes of this MSQH Accreditation would means that Sunmed has shown its continual commitment in assuring the provision of safe and quality care. This is definitely another step taken by Sunmed towards achieving its vision of becoming a world-class health care organization of choice affirming to the hospital’s longstanding good reputation as an institution certified with ISO 9001:2008 Management System and the first private health care institution to be certified with ISO 15189 Accredited Medical Testing Laboratory.
