Overview
Haemodialysis is the most common way to treat acute or permanent kidney failure. During haemodialysis, a machine does some of the work a healthy kidney normally performs by filtering harmful waste, salts and fluids from body that would eliminate in the urine.
Sunway Medical Centre’s haemodialysis department. began its operations in March 2000. The department started (operation-delete) with four machines and has expanded through the years. Today it can accommodate up to 20 dialysis machines to serve inpatients and outpatients. |
