2007 has been an inspiring and extremely exciting year for the Group. We have all worked hard in ensuring the vision of the company is closer towards being realised so it gives me great pleasure in being able to thank everyone who has assisted us on this journey.

Our pioneering flagship, Malaysia's holistic Sunway Integrated Resort (IR) City introduced a unique lifestyle proposition where Malaysians could enjoy "Resort Living within the City". It took us two decades to remain focused on that vision and continuously build our reputation as the pioneer of Integrated Resort living. As a result, our expertise in Sunway IR is sought-after and is the reason why the Sunway brand is going global.

On the home front, the restructuring exercise of Sunway Infrastructure is complete. Sunway Holdings announced a net profit of 300% in the first quarter ended 30th September 2007. Sunway South Quay with a potential GDV of RM3.7bil is set to alter the façade of southern Bandar Sunway into a cosmopolitan lakeside metropolis. Homes surrounded by commercial towers, Malaysia's premier theme park, members' club; largest hotel development that includes a five-star hotel adjacent to the country's first fully-themed shopping mall, convention centre; specialist hospital next to one of the world's most renowned wellness spas; a new Monash University Sunway Campus, Sunway University College and Sunway International School, this is the zenith of Integrated Resort Living. As we move across the oceans flying the Sunway and Malaysia flags, we are proud that our developments in Malaysia offer a warm welcome to foreign investors and Malaysia My Second Home expatriates.

In line with the Sunway credo for excellence, the Group recently garnered the prestigious sixth placing, the first for any Malaysian company on the Hewitt-Fortune-RBL Top Companies for Leaders 2007 - Asia Pacific. Sunway City Berhad's 2006 annual report won the Industry Excellence Award in the Properties, Hotels and Trusts category at the recent National Annual Corporate Report Awards (NACRA) 2007. Sunway Group was also recently rated as one of nation's 30 Most Valuable Brands of 2007 by Interbrand and Associated of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysian (aaaa). For whenever we bring home an award, the tribute is not just for the management, but also for all employees for pulling together as a team.

2008 looks to be a great year for Malaysia and for Sunway. The nation's economy is expected to grow at 6.0 - 6.5 percent and public spending as well as a strong services sector will definitely inflate Malaysia's economy. In this increasingly borderless world, we must be proactive and innovative enough to create our own Blue Oceans. To achieve this, we must always be vigilant and not let complacency get the better of us. All the groundwork has been laid. The support services are in place. It is up to you to explore new opportunities and expand Sunway's frontiers globally.
