At the turn of the new millennium, the importance of e-Business has become significant that businesses are exploring all opportunities to maximise its benefits. The Management of The Sunway Group has always been firm believer of employing technology to enhance the Group's competitiveness, improve staff efficiency and productivity, which lead to increase shareholders' value.

The Sunway Group believes that eProcurement is one of the key initial building blocks of eBusiness and envision that this initiative provides a further step for the Group to move closer towards e-enabling our business.

The Sunway Group began its journey into eProcurement transformation through implementing an eProcurement system. We have since made significant progress in our journey. To date, we have approximately 5,000 catalogue items and over 450 e-enabled suppliers who are able to perform online/paperless transaction with us via our eProcurement system. This supplier e-enablement initiative allows the suppliers to receive electronic PO and upload/maintain e-catalogues in Ariba Procurement system.
