At Sunway, we continuously strive to provide our people support in various areas, including enhancement of work environment and overall personal well-being and development. Since 2013, we introduced a host of new initiatives to better attract, retain and develop women in the workplace. They include:
Workplace Flexibility and Childcare Support
This was achieved through the establishment of a kindergarten and childcare centre via a partnership with R.E.A.L Kids; and with the academic programme commencement in January 2014, Sunway has been offering academic fee discount to the employees.
Celebrating Women in the Workforce
In 2013, the first Networking Event for Women was held, followed by a Senior Women Leaders Network Event in 2014.
Both events included a knowledge sharing session as well as a round-table discussion, focusing on how Sunway can better support females in moving up the corporate ladder.
In recognition of these efforts, Sunway received a Special Mention in the MaSRA (ACCA Malaysia Sustainability Reporting Awards) 2013 Award.
