Sunway Lagoon Sunway Lost World of Tambun

Sunway Group owns and operates two multiple award-winning theme park attractions namely Sunway Lagoon in Bandar Sunway which opened in 1992, and Sunway Lost World of Tambun in the historic town of Ipoh, Perak which opened its doors to the public in November 2004.

Internationally famed, Sunway Lagoon spans some 88 acres and currently boasts more than 90 attractions spread across six uniquely designed parks- Water Park, Amusement Park, Extreme Park, Wildlife Park, Scream Park and its latest attraction, Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon.

Sunway Lagoon is home to Vuvuzela, the World’s Largest Water Ride and Waterplexx 5D, World’s First 5D Waterplexx as certified by Malaysia Book of Records. The theme park is also recognised as Asia’s Best Attraction by International Association of Amusement Park and Attractions (IAAPA) from 2007 to 2010. Sunway Lagoon was named the 4th Best Water Theme Park in Asia by TripAdvisor’s Travelers Choice 2015.

Being one of the region’s most sought-after concert and events venue, Sunway Lagoon has hosted some of the biggest international lifestyle, music and sporting events including MTV World Stage (2009 to 2015) and Quiksilver Revolution Tour (2006 and 2008).

Asia’s first Nickelodeon-themed attraction at Sunway Lagoon known as Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon was launched on 2 February 2016. With an investment exceeding RM100 million, the new park spanning 10 acres amongst lush greenery and stone hills, offers 14 new exciting rides that cater for all ages.

Among the attractions are the SpongeBob Splash Adventure, Primeval, Jungle Fury, Monsoon 360 and more! Park goers can also expect to be slimed with green slime at a magical hour during the “Great Slime Deluge”. Visitors also get a chance to also meet Nickelodeon characters: SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Dora the Explorer, Boots and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Sunway Lost World of Tambun on the other hand, is landscaped with lush tropical flora and fauna, majestic limestone hills of 260 million years of age and complemented by various parks such as Lost World Amusement Park, Lost World Water Park, Lost World Tiger Valley, Lost World Petting Zoo, Lost World Tin Valley, Lost World Team Building Park and the Lost World Hot Springs & Spa and Lupe’s Adventure.

Lost World of Tambun is the first and only theme park in Ipoh and home to Lupe’s Adventure, Perak’s first ever roller coaster. It is also an anchor component of Sunway City Ipoh, Perak’s largest integrated township and an economic driver of the Eastern Development Corridor of Ipoh.
