Immediate Relief Efforts for Flood Victims

Some 300 Sunway volunteers from nine business divisions across Penang, Perak, Selangor and Johor came together in solidarity to provide immediate aid to the flood victims following the worst monsoon floods that hit five northern states in Malaysia.

More than RM280,000 and 40 tonnes worth of contributions including water, food and medicine supplies, daily necessities and school bags were collected through multi-community collaborations alongside three non-governmental organisations.

The staff clocked in more than 4,500 man hours in two rounds of efforts to gather all available resources to collect, pack, load and transport all essential items to the flood victims despite shortage of manpower over the holiday season.
