An Award of Excellence for the Asian region, the Electrolux Culinary Institution of the Year has been dubbed the “Oscars” of the local and regional hospitality and culinary industry, and is used as a benchmark of stature in the food and beverage industry. The award requires nominees to fulfil the exacting criteria set before being shortlisted for voting by the public and a select group of key industry decision makers in Singapore. The shortlisted nominees for the category of Electrolux Culinary Institution of the Year include internationally accredited culinary institutions in Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia.

Sunway-Le Cordon Bleu brought home the Electrolux Culinary Institution of the Year award to Malaysia for Le Cordon Bleu has a long tradition of providing excellence in teaching the classics of cuisine. By maintaining a presence in Malaysia, the classics of cuisine have been fine tuned to reflect the international flavours of culinary development.
