SUNWAY BERHAD WINS THE EDGE BILLION RINGGIT CLUB CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY AWARD

Sunway City, 12 December 2018 – Sunway Berhad bagged the Corporate Responsibility Award at The Edge Billion Ringgit Club (BRC) for companies under RM 10 billion, for the second time since its first recognition in 2015.


The Edge BRC recognises excellence in companies with a market capitalisation of above RM1 billion. Companies are added to the annual list automatically at the cut-off date (March 31) and are evaluated on growth in profit, returns to shareholders and corporate responsibility (CR) commitments, among others.

Sunway Berhad Executive Director, Sarena Cheah, received the awards from Dato’ Ho Kay Tat, publisher and Group Chief Executive Officer of The Edge Media Group.

“We are humbled by this recognition. As a conglomerate with 12 business divisions, we strongly believe that profitability and sustainability can go hand-in-hand. This win inspires us to continue to do more and to give back to the society,” she said.
