Celebrating 50 Glorious Years

Dear Friends,

As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of our founding, it is worth noting that the past half-century has been quite a journey from Sunway’s birth to its status today as a leading conglomerate in the ASEAN region.

We nearly went bankrupt twice, faced many other teething problems and then were hit by a once-in-a-lifetime global pandemic that shut down most of the world. On each occasion, we were able to bounce back thanks to the resiliency, commitment and dedication of our Sunwayians.

Our core values of Integrity, Humility and Excellence were and continue to be a fundamental part of our growth and expansion into one of the region’s leading conglomerates with a strong and reputable brand. Sunway is here to stay, for good.

As we look to the next 50 years and beyond, the financial bottom line will not be our only focus. My vision is for Sunway to further strengthen our reputation as a model corporate citizen committed to the Triple P bottom line of People, Planet and Prosperity. Even as we go forward, we remain steadfast in our commitment to the sustainable development agenda.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Sunway’s dedicated 16,000-strong workforce, valued business partners, stakeholders and each and every one of you who have supported us throughout this journey.
