Management Associate Programme

The GIAD Attachment offers Management Associates (MAs) the opportunity to gain exposure to different business divisions within Sunway Group, apart from your ’home’ business divisions. During the initial three months of joining Sunway, MAs will report to the GIAD team and be assigned audit projects for businesses across the Group. These projects involve auditing the internal processes and controls of the business operations, which may involve you travelling to or being based at various business locations and sites nationwide.

During the two-year programme, MAs will have a career development plan that clearly outlines the specific areas of work and development identified for your accelerated growth. MAs will be involved in projects and assignments which enables you to learn and gain a broader understanding and perspective of your employer’s operations and overall business direction. This provides MAs with opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills within the various business divisions.

Upon completing the GIAD attachment, MAs will begin your development journey with your respective business divisions, deepening your expertise in respective business verticals while developing a broad business understanding and appreciation through adjacent exposures. After the two-year programme, MAs will continue your career progression and growth within the same business division, becoming subject matter experts in your respective functions and further excelling in your chosen paths.

MAs will participate in a series of learning programmes designed to promote both personal and professional growth. These programmes prioritise self-reflection, coaching, mentoring and leadership development, creating an environment that encourages continuous learning.

In addition to the daily responsibilities within your respective BUs, MAs will have the chance to participate in a range of projects that involve collaborating with leaders from various businesses. MAs work as a cohesive team under the guidance of industry leaders, contributing fresh and innovative ideas for various business projects. These ideas are then presented to the management team with the goal of obtaining approval for practical implementation. These special projects provide them the opportunities to engage with cross-functional teams, broaden your perspectives, and make a meaningful impact within the organisation.
