Established in November 1999, Sunway Medical Centre is an Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) accredited private hospital located in Malaysia’s first fully integrated green township of Sunway City Kuala Lumpur.

We offer comprehensive quaternary healthcare services, with 28 centres of excellence, and over 60 medical specialties, coupled with a robust support system comprising over 3,500 healthcare professionals. The cutting-edge technology available in Sunway Medical Centre includes, the Varian TrueBeam STx, da Vinci Robotics Surgical System, Elekta Leksell Gamma Knife Icon, Zeiss Intrabeam IORT, Siemens xSPECT-CT, Siemens Somatom Force Dual Source CT scanner and Radixact-X9 Tomotherapy. Given the growing medical tourism industry, we are embarking on an extensive expansion plan next to the existing hospital building to better cater to the international market. Tower C commenced its first phase of operations in October 2016 with the new Cancer and Radiosurgery Centre and Nuclear Medicine Centre. It also houses other Centres of Excellence such as Digestive Health Centre, Bone and Joint Centre and the expanded Haemodialysis Centre. The second phase, with a 10-level tower, that houses all single-room wards and consultation suites, started its operations in 2017. With the opening of Tower D, E and F in 2023, SMC is Malaysia’s largest private hospital with 724 licensed beds, 492 consultation suites and 26 operating theatres. Tower D contains the country’s first dedicated Children’s Emergency Department in a private hospital as well as a Women and Children’s health block, alongside luxury senior living residences annexed to the hospital. This sets Sunway Medical Centre as one of the leading private medical centres in the region.

Sunway Medical Centre Velocity is a comprehensive tertiary-care hospital in the township of Sunway Velocity, Cheras. Strategically located in an integrated commercial and residential development nearby Sunway Velocity Mall and Sunway Velocity Hotel, the hospital is less than 4km away from Kuala Lumpur City Centre.

Sunway Medical Centre Penang (SMCP) is a comprehensive tertiary care hospital that provides expert medical and surgical care to patients in the Northern Region of Malaysia.

Strategically located within the integrated township of Sunway City Seberang Jaya, we provide convenience for patients and their families, who would be able to enjoy various amenities, including the Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya, Sunway Carnival Mall and more within its vicinity.

We were established in 2003 with a lean structure of a pure nursing care provider to cater to the unique sphere of services for patients at home. As the need of home healthcare increases due to various factors such as cost, time, convenience, benefits and outcome, we grew to become a multi-disciplinary care provider.

We provide standard wound care, physiotherapy, medical nutrition therapy, or medical care, and even multi-disciplinary services such as post-natal care, home neonatal jaundice phototherapy, vaccination services, short- and long-term on-site nurse services. Additionally, we conduct community public awareness campaigns, rehabilitation treatment, and palliative care delivered by skilled and experienced healthcare professionals.

Sunway Healthcare Group (Sunway Healthcare) has rolled out its flagship senior living residence, Sunway Sanctuary, in the second quarter of 2023. Intended as part of our group’s plans to provide for the increasing demand for an exclusive and opulent senior living community in the Klang Valley; and will be part of the greater Sunway City Kuala Lumpur. The facility comprises 473 units with 24/7 concierge services, delectable dining, professional housekeeping and laundry services, maintenance services, IT support, round-the-clock security as well as one-on-one personalised services for various activities and tasks. As part of the focus on holistic wellness, the facility will organise in-house programmes in which each resident will have access to a personal wellness coordinator for a more targeted and customised approach to lifestyle enrichment.

Apart from that, the project will house a wellness centre with healthcare personnel to provide comprehensive clinical assistance including Traditional Complementary Medicine services. For emergency cases, the residents will be referred to Sunway Medical Centre which is annexed to Sunway Sanctuary.

Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh (SMCI) will open in 2025 to cater to the city’s growing population and serve the increased demand for tertiary medical care through a comprehensive cancer centre focusing on women’s health and wellness lifestyle medicine.

Leveraging Sunway City Ipoh’s ecosystem as an integrated resort township that includes hospitality, theme park, education, commercial and residential components, the strategic location of our medical centre would also propel the city’s status as a medical tourism hub.

Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh will be equipped with 258 beds by 2025.
