Quarry

Sunway’s quarry division is one of the largest producers of construction aggregates, and the largest producer of asphalt in Malaysia. Quarrying is a necessity for roads, buildings and construction work, and is central to nation-building. With nine quarries and 17 asphalt plants located strategically across the country, we support nation-building by laying the foundation for Malaysia’s most important construction and infrastructure projects.

Aligned with Sunway’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, we integrate sustainable principles throughout our operations with safety, the well-being of the community and employees, as well as environmental stewardship as our key priorities. We achieve this through various initiatives, including implementing water sprinkles to reduce dust, planting trees, looking into vegetation as well as hydroseeding to help restore the ecosystem in the quarry site as much as possible.
