Malaysia’s Dream Vacation, Reimagined
Sunway Resort is ready to welcome its guest as it unveils phase one of its once-in-a-generation transformation, giving guests a stay experience like no other.
From luxurious escapades to sustainable efforts made possible by technology, the hotel redefines what it means to rest in style and comfort.
Ahead of its 25th anniversary in November, Sunway Resort is unveiling phase one of its most extensive renovation since it opened its doors. Refurbishment works of the RM270 million project which began in 2020 will continue rolling out throughout the rest of 2022 – so there is still plenty more to look forward to!
Today, the hotel has added eight new rooms and suites with innovative upgrades and facilities to delight every traveller where they can relax and rejuvenate.
The entry-level Deluxe rooms feature brand new interior fittings for guests including a luxurious marble bathroom, premium bath amenities, sleep-inducing beds, a 50-inch television with IPTV and even a pillow menu to choose from for their sweet slumber. The Grand Deluxe offers a larger room with a bathtub, and both selections come with connecting rooms so guests have the option of being closer.
Those seeking out a little more exclusivity can opt for the Club Rooms, decked out with stylish and contemporary interiors with intuitive amenities such as a Nespresso coffee machine and bathtub with a 21-inch TV. Other added benefits include the luxury of waking up to breakfast at the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, the first establishment by the eponymous master chef outside of the United Kingdom.
Wellness seekers and fitness enthusiasts will thoroughly enjoy the Wellness Suites, equipped with the latest health and wellness tech such as sleep trackers, in-suite state-of-the-art Technogym equipment such as a Technogym treadmill, Technogym Bench complete with all-inclusive functional training kit of elastic bands, hexagon dumbbells, weighted knuckles, training mat and a Technogym Wellness Ball. The Suite includes online fitness coaching by Fitscovery, so guests can stay active during vacation.
Guests who have chosen Sunway Resort as their abode while on business can find sanctuary in the Business Suites, which feature a dedicated and professional office space complete with a large desk, plush sofa, printer and complimentary stationary. These single-occupancy Suites provide executives the opportunity to unwind with Fitscovery’s online, in-room fitness coaching and a bathtub to relax.
Luxury-seekers can choose from the Executive, Premier or Sunway Grand Suites – all of which clock in at 58sqm, 80-90sqm and 125sqm respectively, providing more space for relaxation and leisure.
The elevated Executive Suites are designed with separate partitioned living area fully equipped with every comfort and convenience, from Nespresso machines, IPTV and wireless charging stations to online fitness coaching and spa-inspired bathrooms that include a private whirlpool. Almost double the size of these suites are the Premier Suites that comprise the latest smart technology, indulgent bathrooms and panoramic views from the room itself.
The luxurious Sunway Grand Suite accommodates up to four guests in two bedrooms, each with its own accompanying dining, living and bar areas. The room has the added convenience of a personal butler, adding a touch of class to the stay which can be booked for any special occasions.
As part of Sunway’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, technology is a mainstay amongst all the rooms in the hotel. Each in-room experience is enhanced with various digital solutions such as keyless room entry accessible via Sunway iLabs’ Sunway Hotels & Resorts App, motion sensor night lights, IPTV, IP telephones and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi for all the guest’s connectivity needs.
Those who need assistance with setting up devices, demonstrations and gadget requests such as Harman Kardon headphones and nail dryers can request for the help of an “iButler”. Smart curtains, ambient interiors and sleep trackers help lull guests into a comfortable sleep, while walk-in chromotherapy showers in the bathroom use colour to refresh the body and stimulate senses.
Aside from these rooms, Sunway Resort will be launching the 20th Club, a sophisticated lounge located on the 20th floor of the hotel. The adults-only venue will offer a wide range of services and privileges including complimentary afternoon tea, evening cocktails and private check-in and check-out – all against the backdrop of the panoramic view of Sunway City Kuala Lumpur. Alongside the lounge are two 12-seater boardrooms for business meetings and presentations.
“For 25 years, Sunway Resort has been raising the bar of hospitality in Malaysia. Today, we are excited to reveal these pioneering rooms and suites that will continue our legacy. With dedicated options specifically tailored to the latest travel and lifestyle trends, all supported by state-of-the-art solutions, sustainable elements and home comforts, Sunway Resort is setting new standards in the industry,” said Alex Castaldi, senior general manager of Sunway City Kuala Lumpur Hotels.
